The national leader of the Veterans of Foreign Wars criticized the ongoing mass layoffs of government employees, arguing veterans — who account for nearly one-third of the federal workforce — are

Justice Thomas slams Feres doctrine after Supreme Court decides not to hear military case |
The Supreme Court rejected a case that challenged the Feres doctrine, a judicial ruling preventing active-duty service members from suing the government for wrongful injury or death. The court ruled in the Feres case that the federal government had immunity
from claims for injuries considered "incident to military service,” effectively barring active-duty personnel from suing the U.S. government for any reason. Justice Clarence Thomas issued a 14-page dissent in response to the court’s announcement it would not hear the case.
