VA extends debt collection relief until the end of 2022

VA officials are once again extending the suspension of benefit debts for veterans facing financial difficulties, this time through the end of this year. The move covers debts related to disability compensation overpayments, education benefit mistakes, and pension payouts not related to service-connected injuries. Veterans who owe money will not have to pay it back until early 2023 if they can show the move would cause financial hardship.
