The VA has started the process to designate multiple myeloma and acute and chronic leukemias as linked to military service in the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan, and elsewhere. This change will give affected
veterans quicker access to disability compensation. The change follows an announcement last week by VA Secretary Denis McDonough that bladder cancer and ureter cancers will be designated as presumptive illnesses.

VA plans to drop co-pays for rural veterans seeking telehealth services |
VA leaders plan to eliminate all co-pays for telehealth services and award grants for telehealth clinics in rural areas, part of ongoing efforts to expand virtual care options within its medical care system. Telehealth has become a significant part of the
department’s health care portfolio since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. Department leaders have promised to keep expanding those options while still ensuring that veterans who prefer face-to-face appointments have that opportunity.

Understanding temporary VA disability ratings |

Navy Veteran, Dan J., Talks About His Service and His Fight for VA Benefits |
"The reason I'm giving Woods & Woods 5 stars is because I can't give them 6! I, like many of you reading this, have gone around and around with the VA to get benefits that I am entitled to. I finally decided to contact Woods & Woods. They reviewed all my paperwork and prior VA decisions. They quickly advised on a course of action and within one year of contacting them, they got the VA to change my rating 100%."
