To increase a 70% VA disability rating, veterans can add additional service-connected conditions, appeal the rating of any of their
conditions, or seek total disability based on individual unemployability (TDIU) benefits. Veterans with a 70% rating for a single condition already meet the eligibility requirements for TDIU, which pays the same monthly amount as a 100% rating.
