Study finds soot and dust from burn pits embedded in the lungs of ailing veterans

A new study examining the lasting effects of exposure to military burn pits found soot and dust embedded in the lungs of post-9/11 veterans with restricted breathing and inflamed airways. The study found that veterans with a history of exposure to military burn pits had three times the level of carbon particles in their lungs compared to healthy individuals. The research is among only a few studies that have sought to quantify particulate matter from burn pits in the lung tissue of veterans.

RoundUp® lawsuit

For decades, the makers of RoundUp® weed killer marketed the product to American homeowners as a quick, easy, and safe solution for controlling broadleaf weeds. However, recent studies have linked this widely used product to serious health problems, including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. If RoundUp exposure led you or a loved one to develop non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, you may be eligible to join this lawsuit.
